JM Radiology was established in 2006 with one purpose in mind; to fill the vacuum of knowledge in the field of Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology. This included clinical service and training.
Our founder is Jimmy Makdissi, is a senior lecturer and consultant in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiologist based at Queen Mary University of London and Barts Health NHS Trust.
Jimmy has an extensive track record in private practice at the BMI London Independent Hospital, HCA London Bridge Hospital, the Holly House Hospital and Harley Street.
He also has an extensive track record of educational roles. He served on the Education Committee of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. He has also served as the Dental Tutor for the London Deanery at Barts Health, the Faculty Tutor at the Royal College of Surgeons and as the President of the Metropolitan Branch of the British Dental Association. JM Radiology at present using its central secure portal provides a full radiology service to a multitude of dental practices and hospitals in the UK. We have over 1500 registered users.
In the training arena, JM Radiology founded the one and only CBCT Masterclass proving the original training module for General Dental Practitioners in the referral, justification and interpretation of CBCT scans. Over 1000 delegates have successfully completed this training.
We have recently ventured into e-learning, releasing IRMER 17, IR(ME)R Operator (Imaging) and IR(ME)R Referrer Training modules. We now support the delivery of radiology teaching for a number of national and international bodies.
